Appointment Criteria
The criteria for appointment to the NBCRFLI Panel of Commissioners includes:
- CCMA accreditation as a Commissioner
- Formal application to the Dispute Resolution Manager of the NBCRFLI
- State the preferred area or province where services are to be rendered
- CV must be accompanied by a recent award that was made for parties
- At least five years experience working with the CCMA
- Knowledge, skills and experience in dispute resolution
- Compliance with efficiencies in dispute resolution processes
- Submission of CV and all relevant documentation (FICA)
NBCRFLI Commissioner Recruitment Process
The NBCRFLI formally begins this process of recruitment for Full Time and Part Time Commissioners on an annual basis. The vacancies are normally advertised in the print media and on the CCMA website.
Panel Renewal
Renewal of existing commissioners panel commences between July to August, along with appointment of new commissioners.
Documentation
Submission of CV, including all relevant documentation (FICA) in support of the application is required.
Selection
Candidates are recruited from the CCMA database based on their knowledge, skills and experience.
Appointment
Successful candidates are formally appointed with a 12-month service level agreement effective from September 1st.
